Social Housing and Research Creation:
This research/creation project seeks to explore new ideas revealed by social housing in the Canadian city centre. It is structured around two ideas competitions organised by the LEAP research laboratory that are open to graduate-level architecture students attending Canadian universities. The competition allows students to actively participate in the creation of new and original proposals and to benefit from the various levels of thought processes associated with design competitions. This research/creation project elicits a collective reflection on cities, housing, and the cultural potential of social housing.
